Credence ID's Tap2iD Mobile™ App serves as a Digital ID Verifier designed to accept and validate mobile driver’s licenses (mDL) according to the international ISO 18013-5 standard.

It allows you to read and verify mDLs from states such as Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Utah, Iowa, and more jurisdictions as they become accessible.

You can authenticate your customer’s age or identity by verifying a government-issued mDL (mobile or digital ID) stored in various digital wallets like Apple, Google, Samsung, California, Iowa, Utah, and Virginia.

The app securely maintains a precise list of cryptographic authentication certificates provided by all the states issuing mobile driver’s licenses and can therefore authenticate IDs accurately.

Customers can present their mobile driver’s licenses by either scanning a QR code or tapping their phones (NFC).

This privacy-focused app has been constructed with a “privacy by design” architecture and refrains from storing personally identifiable information (PII).

The Tap2iD mobile app is linked to the Verify with Credence (VwC™) platform which allows swift scaling of the solution to multiple locations or devices. VwC also furnishes automated compliance reports and business intelligence regarding your customers without retaining any personal information.

The Tap2iD Mobile™ app adheres to international ISO/IEC 18013-5 standards and can accommodate Digital ID wallets utilizing NFC or QR codes for presenting an ID.

Prerequisites for using the app:

• Register your organization on the Verify with Credence portal by contacting here or emailing [email protected]
• Upon receiving registration confirmation, proceed to create accounts for your users following the provided instructions
• Launch the Tap2iD Mobile™ app and input the country code & phone number to receive a verification code
• Enter the verification code followed by the user account password for the management portal to access the app
• Upon logging in, select either QR code or NFC device engagement options based on holder preference for verifying digital IDs
• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete age or ID verification

When signing up on verify.credenceid.com, you gain access to:

• Select from various pre-configured data profiles like ID-Check or Age-Check or establish a personalized data request profile
• Upload your organization’s logo for prominent display within the app
• Select from multiple pre-loaded issuing authorities to trust or upload your private trust certificate
• View business analytics
• Receive compliance reports for all your transactions
